Brief Description:  Finalizing CHT Sensor Install Under Spark Plugs

Tonight I finalized the installation of the Cylinder Head Temperature (CHT) sensors under the exhaust side spark plugs.

One plug (cylinder #1 exhaust side w/sensor) had to have the terminal nut replaced, as the one that came on the engine was stripped inside and was not at all secure.

At each cylinder, I removed the exhaust side plug which had the CHT sensor installed between the crush washer and the plug base. I then removed the intake side plug and applied CopperMax anti-seize compound to the threads, then reinstalled it with a torque pressure of 12 ft lbs (144 in lbs). I then applied CopperMax anti-seize compound to the threads of the plug with the CHT sensor and reinstalled it, also with a torque pressure of 12 ft lbs. During this reinstallation, special care was given to ensure the CHT sensor remained centered around the base of the spark plug to prevent incorrect sensor readings.
