Brief Description: Layout And Attach Cowling Side Vent Templates
Created paper templates from the fiberglass cowling vent openings.
Printed the templates and cut them out for attaching to the cowling inner sides.
Aligned upper and aft template edges witht the tape lines set at 6.5" down from the top cowling edge and 2" forward of the aft cowling edge, per the plans specifications. Secured the templates on both inner cowling sides in proper positions.
Layed the forward and bottom tape lines to complete marking the outer perimeter of the opening cutouts for the cowling side vents. Templates indicate a slight inside line for cutting the intial opening, then it can be expanded out to match up the the actual vent once they are temprarily attached into proper positions.
Initial Lines layed out 6.5" down from upper cowlign edge and 2" forward of rear edge.
Paper template lined up with top and aft spec lines, and forward and bottom lines taped in.
Left and right templates attached with all for perimeter tape lines in position for cutouts.
