Brief Description: Prepping For Mounting The New Blister Channel
Beginning the mounting process for installing the new fiberglass blister channel to the main lower cowling assembly.
Removed the gelcoat in the areas where fiberglass resin or any other adheasive will be adhearing to bond the two parts in place.
Once all the necessary gelcoat removal was completed, the new blister channel was fit into position and clecoed. Trying to determine the best method of initially adhearing the blister to the cowling that will fill all gap area between the blister and cowling over the entire perimeter.
Removing gelcoat in the areas around the hub where adheasive will be used.
Gelcoat removed from around the general perimeter of the blister opening.
Trying to determine if the best mounting is to use a layer of fiberglass cloth between surfaces.
