Brief Description:  Center Rib Routing Jigs

Today, I finished routing the lightening holes in the center rib routing jigs. The interesting thing about this, even though it wasn't at-all difficult, is the amount of MDF dust concentrated in a confined area. The router table will throw sawdust staight up in the air like this. It's good to have a second set of hands available to aim the shop vac hose at the erupting plume of sawdust, lest it go right up your nose. MDF sawdust is nasty stuff, and is allegedly carcinogenic. Reckon I need to get myself a nice dust mask when I'm working on this stuff.

Note in the third picture there is an oval-shaped hole in the rear of the center rib. This is to make room for the mechanics of moving parts in the wing. There are a few ribs that have round holes in the back, and I'll handle those each individually with the fly cutter instead of creating another routing jig for those holes.
