Plans: 1. Complete the upper wing trim plates. Status: 90% complete. I was able to tailor the one remaining plate for the right upper wing. They all still need paint. I have applied a coat of Weldbond to the bare aluminum to see if it will stick to the metal. Assuming is does the latex should then stick to it. 2. Add weep holes to the wings. Status: Complete. The weep holes will allow any water that accumulates in the wings or ailerons a way to drain out. The approximately 1/4" diameter holes were made with a soldering iron tip pushed into the fabric. It melts a nice round hole. It also creates a weak spot. I debated adding the holes at all given California weather. Time will tell if it was a mistake or not.
