Brief Description: Riveting the Horizontal Stabilizer Skin
Marylynn and I tried to rivet the skin on. The first step was to cleco's the HS 707 Rib to the top side of the skin and rivet it. The first rivets went in ok but Marylynn was nervous and had some trouble holding the bucking bar level so I tried it. Not bad but kept dinging the skin. Although the instructions only had us cleco's and rivet the top skin it would have been way easier to cleco's the skin to the whole rib to make it more stable before trying to rivet. Neither one of us is really happy with the dings and I may just order a new skin and rib to be happy. I have contacted a EAA Tech Counselor to check out my work so far depending on what he says about the work so far I may just order the skin or need to order the whole thing over :)
