Brief Description:  Mixture control Re-Do

I had to re-order the throttle, Mixture and Propeller control cables from Aircraft Spruce. Unfortunately although not documented anywhere that I can see the cables (plastic covered) from Vans have special ends that you need to specify when ordering cables from aircraft spruce. The standard control cables have a 3 1/8 movement and thus you need3 1/8 from the end of the cable to the bulkhead that you are mounting to. The distance from the gear tower to the most forward position of the throttle, mixture or propeller control arm is close to 3 inches, close but not close enough to mount it securely and have enough movement to adjust the cables. I did like the longer ends in the engine compartment so I ordered cables with the standard ACS end on one end and the standard Vans end on the other. with the brackets I made for the engine compartment this keeps the flexible part of the control cable further from the exhaust heat.
When I went to change the mixture cable out I noticed that the mixture cable mounting bracket could have been designed a little better. I redesigned and manufactured it to move the control cable mount about 1 inch more forward.
