I wanted to be able to mix fresh air and heat to manage the temperature in the cockpit. To do this I mounted a heat control to the firewall and a "Y" with a shut off flapper to the fresh air inlet. This allows me to have either fresh air, just heat or both. I welded up a custom bit of tubing which is basically a "T" with a 45 degree elbow on one end . There is also a 1 inch outlet welded to one of the legs of the tee which will allow me to direct mixed air to the windscreen. There are 2 outlets from SteinAir on the instrument panel wings.
