Constructed a new fuel valve attach bracket for the Andair fuel valve. I constructed the bracket out of .040 2024 T3. The holes for the original fuel valve bracket were drilled in the longeron and I wanted to design something that was large enough for the Andair valve but would not put additional holes in the fuselage. I extended the side of the new bracket to 4 inches, with 3/8 flange the inside edge is just under 2 inches. The new bracket fit snugly between the existing 2 nutplates on the mid cabin braces.
Page 50 Temporarily attached the fuel valve attach bracket to the F-844 auxiliary longeron Clamped the inboard end of the Fuel valve attach bracket to the F-878-1 mid cabin brace and match drilled #19. Removed the bracket and de-burred Machine countersunk the hole drilled in the F-878-L-1 mid cabin brace for flush screw Attached the fuel valve bracket and mounted the mid-cabin covers in place Match drilled #19 the 2 holes in both F-881-1 mid cabin covers that are common with the F-844-L & -L and R auxiliary longerons Removed the left and right F-881-1 mid cabin covers, de-burred the two screw holes previously match drilled in the F-844-L and -R auxiliary longerons Drilled #40 the rivet holes for the nutplates in the auxiliary longerons. The rear left nut plate is mounted in the Fuel valve attach bracket Riveted the nutplates in the auxiliary longeron and Fuel valve attach bracket
