Brief Description:  DIsassembled and prepped empennage parts

Having test-assembled just about everything in the empennage kit - except the tailcone - we now really need to prime parts before they can be riveted. Unfortunately, we still cannot prime ourselves because it is still not quite warm enough. The temperature has to be 60 degrees and we haven't seen a day like that since November 2014.

So, we are planning to bring a selection of parts to a local auto body shop to have those guys prime them. These parts will include all interior parts for the vertical stabilizer (VS), horizontal stabilizer (HS), rudder and anti-servo tab. Hopefully this will be the last time we need to pay someone else to prime our parts until next fall.

The first picture shows the hinge separators (for the hinge that connects the VS and the rudder). Cutting and shaping these to fit is a challenge - they have a 1/32" tolerance.

The third picture shows some of the parts that are ready for priming. These are really just HS parts.
