Brief Description:  Seat parts, Panel parts, Turtle Deck parts

Continued to fabricate Fuselage parts. Built the front Seat...rather easy and straight forward. Built the Base for the Rear Seat. The top cover is not on as it has to be Urethaned inside to seal the wood before closing it up. The front has to be as well before it can be screwed down to the floor and cross members. The Seatbacks and tops are only positioned in-place for this photo. They have to be Urethaned and attached after - as well. The Panel Compartment (front/back/top are not attached to each other yet. The top has to be drilled for the Cabane tubes, the front of the panel in the rear compartment has to be cut out for a second face/box that is the real panel mounting surface or instruments. The turtle deck needs to be checked for fit and location before it's glued together. It's starting to shape up and one can start to see how it all relates to itself. It was also a time when I could climb in, sit down and try it on for size.....Hmmmmm it's tight. not much leg room in the front at all and my feet and the Rudder pedals will need to be alongside of the forward seat...NOW I see why the space was left on each side of the seat and the base was made so narrow....it's where the Pilot's feet go. Side to side room is ample and roomier then I expected...the Cabane tubes make getting in and out easier as they provide a bracing - hand-hold - place to aid balance. The front seat has the lower side rail that's filled in by the door (yet to be built) The rear, one just steps over and slides down. I'm a bit overweight and have no trouble getting in and out (off a ladder now - off the re-enforced top right Wing - walk-way later.
