Brief Description: Mounting Empennage

Spent a considerable amount of time fitting the Fin and Stab to the Fuse....measuring over and over to insure it was level and square, and equal and balanced. Removed both and then cut in the slots for the hinge locations on both plus the Rudder and Elevator. Re-installed the Fin and Stab on Fuse then located, and drilled the hinge locations of both after assuring that the El and Rud were equal, balanced, level and aligned.
The strut locations were then located, measured, marked, checked and drilled fo the 12 attachment angles. The distance between each pair of angles was checked and the strut tube was marked, cut, flattened (where needed) and drilled to match the attachment points. After installing these the angles, level, square, and equal were checked and verified.
The Struts, angles, El, Rud, and Stab as then removed and returned to storage. The Fin is hard glued to the Turtle deck bulkhead structure and removable only by removing that Structure. I have more work to complete the Turtle Deck framing before I do that.
