Brief Description:  New Hanger and assembly

Most of my time for the balance of the week was picking things to move to the new Hanger and actually assembling the Bi-plane. I had previously "rigged' it while it was in stick format. What I've began to do here is hopefully the final "detailed" assembly of the final form. In the pic's The rear end is raised until the top fuselage longeron is level front to rear. It is from this position that all adjustments and measurements are taken for the final assembly. I'll spend the next few weeks checking and re-checking measurements, alignments and relations and interactions of all the associated parts. I'll also again call on my two AP-IA's to come in (one keeps two aircraft on the very field) and pick me apart as to what needs to be changed, done over, repaired or should be A-OK. Then I'll need to install instruments, hook-up all controls, check and re-check all control actions and "throws" and get ready for the firewall forward.

I have the Cont 0-200 I bought with less than 600 hours SMOH and I'm hoping I won't need to do much to it. The AP/IA's want me to tear it down and check all the parts before installilng. I also need to have a Motormount built as well and order/buy a prop too. Then it's also time to change tires, tail wheel and add Avionics and get it inspected by the AP/IA's for the final before the FAA or DAR does it for the Airworthyness Certificate. In other words....LOTS to still do and some big checks to write as funds become available. Updates to this LOG will be scattered and few during this next heavy activity phase and time.
