Brief Description:  Rudder polish and top rear skin polished

Continued to polish out Fuselage/Rudder skins using #9 and #6 grit. I'm gonna save the final #S girt super polish until all is completed. I've tried the #S grit on the leading edge of the rudder to see if and/or how much difference (if any) it made and it does, indeed, add a great deal of brilliance to the surface. I will, however, hold off on this step until just prior to final assembly. This is a very time consuming effort and it's quite dirty too. The buffing pads shed fuss-balls and a very, very, fine dust that lays on everything in the shop....particularly me and my cloths and the floor. This phase has not made me very popular with my wife.....she remembers that I told her the project would be a very clean one because I'll be using new aluminum material. The reminds me that Aluminum chips and dust are not "clean" and easily track anywhere I walk. Now I've added black fuss-balls and black soot on my cloths and the floor (to track out of the shop) to the mix and it sticks to the washing machine, requiring another full cycle of running after she finishes a load of my shop dud's before she can wash other things. OPPS....She's been married to me for 47+ years so it's not the 1st time I've burdened her with my mess....she is getting a fair amount less likely to accept it with-out comment in these later years I'm finding. I've decided to wear disposable cover-alls to do the polishing in the future and trash em when they get too dirty to use anymore. That should cut down some of the mess for her and her machine. She is very particular about her "tools and equipment" but then I am too.
