Brief Description:  Firewall

Today I disassembled the Firewall, deburred the holes, checked the edges for smothness, Scotch Brited all of them and Primed them. Did the same for the Firewall blank after cutting in the rear diagonal "L's" and the elongated holes in the bottom center where the steering links penetrate the firewall (much later in the build). I then clecoed all back together and riveted all but the top shelf and the front stiffner for it. I need to bore a 2" hole in that part for the nose gear leg and I do not have the 2" hole saw to do that...I'm missing that cutter from my set. Bummer...another tool to buy. I cut the 4 holes in the vertical brace with the fly cutter but don't want to use it on this part as the hole is too close to the edge. I also need to order the bearings from Zenith to complete this part. I was surprized to see that all of this took as much time as it did.
