Brief Description:  Tailcone drilling almost done

OK...I'm almost done with all the match and final drilling on the tailcone (I think). One of the last major steps left is to match/final drill the holes on the aft deck. More on that in a minute.

I spent some time this afternoon drilling the most foreward aft skin on the tailcone. As near as I can tell, I have everything drilled and finished (though, not deburred yet).

Now...on to the aft deck. A couple of things:

1. Those two angle pieces seen in photos 2 and 3 weren't that bad (though, this is just another instance where you have to fabricate something out of aluminum stock). However, on the larger of the two, I mis-read the instructions. The result is that the holes are evenly spaced, with the exception of one of them. Oh well. Looking at the instructions, this doesn't appear to be an issue, and I decided to leave things as they are. In a couple of steps, I'll be match drilling from the piece into the aft desk, so, the holes being off a hair shouldn't matter.

2. I'm going to have to stop at Harbor Fr. on the way home from work this week and grab some discount "c" clamps. If you look in the phot, you might be able to see where the spacing along the edges of the aft deck have pulled apart. That's easily fixed, but i need the clamps to do it.

That's all for now. Thanks for stopping by.
