Brief Description:  Fuel Tank Saddles

I realize that can’t do the final fuel tank installation until the tail boom and transmission is installed, but I need to complete the wiring and the fuel tank attachments, including the cross braces. I’ve decided to do the complete installation but not secure the fuel lines. Once all the tank work is completed, I can just unplug the all-weather wiring and store the tanks for final installation.

The first step was sizing, cutting, and installing the rubber tank saddle protection. I measured and cut the saddle material from a 12” by 12” piece of rubber, then used spray adhesive to hold them in place under the tanks. Not a big deal, but now I can install the tanks and not worry about scratching the paint.
