Brief Description: Counter Weight, Carb Heat Box, Air Intake Screen
The counter weight for the cabin needs to be sized to fit into the frame retainer on the passenger side of the cabin. This is used when I’m flying solo. When there are two people in the cabin, it will be located to the tail section to counter the forward weight.
After filing down the base welds and polishing the tube, it fits perfectly. I still need to drill a hole for the retainer clip, but I will do that before I fill it with lead. More on that later…
The carb heat box has been painted and I love how it looks and works. I was explaining to my painter Eddie that I have been looking for months for a desktop pen and pencil holder that is approximately 3” in diameter that I can paint and install for a screen for the air intake for the box. He turned around and went into his office. I heard the sound of pens hitting the counter and he walked out with the exact penholder I was looking for!
I cut it down, painted it, and put an new edge around the top. Next I will rivet it to the box and call it done. Thanks Eddie!!!
