Brief Description:  Final Shipment Arrives!!!

The driver wasn’t able to get HIS larger trailer into my driveway in order to unload MY trailer, so he left it in the street and I ran home from work to hook it up and back it onto my property. It’s been a million years since I pulled a trailer, but luckily it all came back to me. With the help of a head’s up from Safari, I had already configured my Jeep for a trailer, so it was literally a one minute process hooking up and pulling away.

Once in the driveway, I had to unload everything into my garage shop because I have an appointment already scheduled with the California Department of Motor Vehicles for inspection and registration on Monday, and I have to haul it an hour away in traffic to the DMV office. As you can imagine, there is not a lot of room to store everything in the shop and still have the wiggle area needed to keep working on the build, but I managed the best I could.

One little technical decision I had to make was temporarily storing the tail boom in the house because it would’t fit in the garage. As you can see in the photo below, the boom is the perfect piece of modern art that completes the look of the living room….at least this is the story that I’m proposing to my VERY understanding wife. I may just put lights on it and tell her it’s our new Christmas tree. I love you, Dawn!

Eventually, all of these items including the trailer will be stored in a hanger I rented at KTCY, but it isn’t available until next week.
