This was a long day, and it started off rather challenging. After waiting all morning for a call from the FedEx driver, I finally got a call from Matt telling me he was just down the street and wanted to make sure I had a forklift to unload the crate from the truck. He was shocked to hear that he was delivering to a house and not a hanger. Obviously, I didn't have a forklift, and I let him know that I paid an additional $300 for a truck with a lift gate. He said he had a lift gate but that it was too small. He was willing to work the problem, and with some creative thinking and employing several items from my shop such as castering stands and lumber, we were able to get it out of the truck and up the driveway. I spent the next several hours carefully taking apart the box and discarding the debris.
The most difficult part was securing the frame on rolling lift casters and building a ramp system to get it off the platform and into the workshop. I unloaded the boxes of parts and got the frame into the shop with no damage.
