I called the local Oakland FAA FSDO and spoke to the person in charge of the department where Airworthiness is handled. He explained that they contract all the inspections out to designated examiners and provided me with several local names and numbers.
He then spent about 15 minutes telling me all the ways that I was going to fail my inspection, including simply not labeling the push-to-talk button on the cyclic (PTT). All the work I did to create this machine and I’m going to fail due to a three-letter sticker. Well…okay. To be fair, that was only one of many things he warned me of.
Soooo…I became a labeling madman. It was cool that I used every single button and trigger on each of the cyclics, and they all work!
