Brief Description:  Seat panels / Headboard / Seat Installation

Seems like a simple thing, but you have to remember that this is something that has been on standby and ready to go for months, so it’s pretty exciting to have the final pieces that make the helicopter look completed happening.

The seat panel goes on first, because the headboard installs over it, but I should be able to remove the seat panels to access the electrical and control rods with the headboard in place by sliding it under and re-securing it.

It was nice to have Tom here to help with the headboard because the extra set of hands threading the seatbelts through the grommets was great. I made sure to fully insert the connections for all of the electrical components so there wouldn’t be a repeat of my last mistake.

The seats cushions are fastened to the seat panels with 2” industrial Velcro. It’s not super pretty to install, but the most important thing is that you don’t cover the many screws used to attach the panel. The finished look was worth the wait!
