Brief Description: Heim Joint Spin-up and Painting of Pitch Links
I was looking for the heim joints and rod material to make the pitch change links for the main rotor head, but could not find them anywhere. I was concerned because half of the rod and heim joint needs to be a left hand thread for adjustability. Tom even let me borrow a left-handed tap when I was at his house over Christmas (of course he would have one of those on hand).
I was super happy to find that they had already been made by Safari and were secured in the box with the rotor head. All I needed to do was to wind up the joints to a proper heat, and then shock cool them to loosen up the ball movement like I did on all of the other control rod joints.
Once that was done, I decided to prime them and paint them black to match the control rods below.
