The engine hoist that was made to support the engine in the transfer from the engine stand that I made and the engine compartment on the helicopter needed to be modified since the design was drawn for the Lycoming O-320, not the O-360. I hope Safari will update the plans for the future Safari builders.
I am getting all of the loose ends completed and prepped for the engine installation, which includes installing the firewall for the last time. (Scary!)
Also, I wanted to install the ground movement wheels on the frame and skids before I added the weight of the engine to the helicopter. This was more of a pain in the ass than I figured it would be because you need to position the wheel brackets in two places on the frame and drill locking positions for each.
