A huge thank you goes out to Safari for supplying me with “Safari” pedals for the tail rotor. The foot pedals with just the frame alone looks very unfinished, and the “SAFARI” logo pedals make a big difference. The pedals needed to be fitted to the thickness of the tube due to the powder coating, and they need to be able to rotate with the movement of the pedals. A Dremel tool with a sanding wheel did the job.
The through holes also need to allow the pedals to move while retaining the location, so I made a jig sleeve in order to make sure that the hole was centered in the tube.
I also chose to polish the pedals, and as you can se, they look a lot better. I have the polishing wheels so I should at least put it to good use, right? I have end caps on order and hope to install those this weekend.
