Brief Description: Wings stands, rigging, skins, drilling, leading ed
There is a HUGE gap in my build log here due to many reasons but not the least of which was the loss of my laptop (i.e. data) and the theft of my cellphone which was my primary camera with reference my build log (many pictures going with it!).
This entry thus fills a huge gap in both time and effort. I installed the wing stands but I raised them from the ground due t the horribly uneven floor in my garage. As they are now, they are perfectly straight and level and extremely sturdy - very happy with them.
I mounted the understructure onto the stands and clecoed the top skins into position to ensure that all was correclt aligned. I then used a lazer level to gauge exactly when the center support was spot on. I then clamped the structure into place.
Match drilled the skins (top and bottom), constrfucted the leading edges as per plans and fitted the joint plate. Drilled out the wing tie down hole and then removed the bottom skins.
Ready for the fuel tanks.
I'll try to take photo's of relevant items and post them subsequent this entry of items I think may assist others or could do with clarification. From the Z-Brackets of the fuel tanks though, the build log should be back up to speed!
