Brief Description: 90% Complete with the Installation of MLG controll
For the last couple of months I have been working off and on at installing the MLG controller wiring. All work is complete with the exception of the Canopy warning system. All other relays are wired and installed. The controller is mounted and all wires attached including the installation of the Choke. I am very close to completing the job FINALLY! I still need to wire the canopy warning sensors and LED light. I also would like to install a connector in the spar tunnel as well but I'm finally like 95% there. Building wiring harnesses has been challenging and a great learning experience. One word of advice if your thinking of installing retractable gear in your Long EZ.... IT IS A LOT OF WORK! and way more expensive that you 1st realize and the RISK is very high. I would never had been successful without folks like John McAvoy and all the work he did on developing the gear controller not to mention all the advice he gave me. He was very patient and supportive.
