Today I got on with adding the tailcone to the fuselage. I removed the clecoes from the rear edge of the fuselage so I could fit the right side skin. I put the top clecoe through both skins first and gently levered the aft skin down sliding the aft skin underneath the mid skin, I then clecoed both skins together into the F-807 bulkhead. I then did the same with the left aft skin. I clecoed the F-808 bulkhead in place through the skins and to the baggage rib assembly. I then clecoed the F-809 and 810 bulkheads into place as well. I then drilled the 1/8th holes common between the 808 bulkhead and the baggage ribs.
I fitted the lower aft skin next, this has to fit between the side skins and the lower lobgerons inside them as well as the mid lower skins and the F-807 bulkhead. I gently tapped this forward and between the F-807 bulkhead and the lower skins and the curve in the mis side skins. This proved to be a bit awkward, but it wriggled in just fine. I clecoed the lower skin joint first and the the lower common rivet holes between the aft lower skin and the rear bulkheads.
I clecoed every other rivet holes on the left side working forwards. I clecoed every rivet hole on each bulkhead working from the left side to the right. when I came to the right side I found that the aft skin holes were about 1/2 a holes out and at a bulkhead I couldn't line up the holes for a cleco, so I started in the middle of a pair of bulkheads and worked forwards and backwards from the central point.
I removed the top four clecoes from the skins so I could slide the top longerons into place. The longerons never looked right, even resting on the fuselage they still didn't look right, but once they were slid into place and the top clecoes replaced, they fitted perfectly.
