Brief Description: Forward floor/cooling air ramp.

Today I managed to get a bit done. I edged and deburred the crossmembers and the ribs. I riveted the nutplates to the front and rear crossmembers, and machine countersunk the screw holes to accept the #6 screws, these screws can be seen on the photo. I do this for two reasons, to see that the countersink is deep enough, and to make sure the nutplate is o.k. I've had the nut part of the nutplate seperate from the 'plate' it's easier to replace now than when on flinal assembly with panels etc. I then riveted the rivet under the front crossmember on the intercostal ribs, then clecoed the front crossmembers in place and the front ribs as well. I finished riveting the intercostal ribs, riveted the front crossmember and the front floor ribs, leaving the rear crossmember for now as it will be riveted at a later time.
I riveted the five nutplates to the floor panel.
The cooling air ramp. I followed the manual. removed part of the flange on each side. I clecoed the two stiffeners to the ramp and drilled the rivet holes to full size, I also drilled the #30 rivet holes to full size. I edged and deburred the stiffeners and the ramp. I dimpled the stiffeners on the face that rivets to the ramp and also dimpled the #30 rivet holes. I primed the contact faces of the stiffeners and the ramp. It doesn't take long to dry in this heat. I then backriveted the middle stiffener to the ramp and I riveted the rear stiffener to the rear crossmember that was clecoed to the floor panel. I then finished priming the air ramp on the stiffener side, the other side is still un-primed, I'll do that later.
I set these parts aside for now and pulled out all the parts for the next section of the build, the undercarraige boxes.
