I started working on the forward floor today. Clecoed the crossmembers/intercostal ribs and the floor ribs to the foward floor panel F 822-1. I then drilled the rivet holes to full size, removed all parts and deburred the drilled holes and then dimpled the area delineated in the plans for dimpling the floor panel. I also machine countersunk the rivet holes that will attach nutplates to the floor at a later time.
I deburred all the drilled holes in the crossmembers, the costal ribs and floor ribs. I dimpled the costal/floor ribs, and machine countersunk the centre holes in the crossmembers that line up with the dimpled holes in the forward floor, leaving the end 5, or 6 at each end of both crossmembers untouched apart from debur. I machine countersunk all holes for nutplates on the crossmembers.
I am at a position where I might prime. But I'll save that till just before riveting parts together. I stopped here.
