Brief Description:  Firewall and associated parts

Today, I got on with working on the firewall and associated parts. I clecoed the strengtheners to the cabin side of the firewall and drilled all # 40, #30, and the 1/4 inch holes through the backing plates for the flight adjustable rudder perdals. I used lots of Beolube to lubricate the drill to stop the stainless steel blunting the drill. I also drilled the #40 holes in the middle cross piece and the right upright to get ready for the platenuts which will be riveted to them.

I then disassembled the parts and bent the top of the firewall to the required 8 degrees. Tomorrow I will start deburing, edging etc. I waited until now so that I'd do all parts at the same time.
