Brief Description:  Port fuel tank

Today, I investigated, the problem I had with alignment of the nutplates in the "Z" brackets and the holes in the spar for the mounting bolts. Some holes were off a tiniest amount, caused I think by riveting. I decided to enlarge some bolt holes by 1/32 and this allowed me to install all bolts. I then torqued the bolts to the correct value and tightened all the screws securing the tank to the leading edge and spar.

I then marked the bolts with permanent marker so that it can be seen if they move in the future, and vacuumed the debris from inside the wing. I laid the wing down on the bench upside down so I can start riveting the lower skins on.

My fuselage is arriving on the Monday 16th, so I'd like to get the riveting done, put the wing back in its cradle so I have some working room for the fuselage.
