Today I drilled out the rivets holding the two wrongly positioned Z brackets. Cleaned up the contact surfaces and re riveted them in their correct positions. I mixed up some tank sealer and sealed all the rivets (luckily I had five blind rivets left for the inner most Z bracket). I used some of the sealer to seal/glue the bug guards in position just inside the throat of both NACA ducts. My thinking is that the sealer is almost strong enough to build a plane, I think it'll be strong enough to hold the screen in place.
I'll re test the port fuel tank tuesday once the sealer has had a chance to cure. If it passes I'll mount it onto the port wing. I'm not going to rivet the lower skins on before doing that.
Fuel tank after incorrectly positioned Z brackets have been removed.
Brackets in their correct positions after riveting.
