Started to assemble the simple elevator, 3 ribs a folded skin and hinge. First stage was to remove 1/8" from the underlap to improve the fit. I made up a craddle from a cardboard box to hold the elevator while drilling the hinge. Set the hinge up with the 1/16" clearance and drilled the two end holes, used the drill jig clamped to the hinge to ensure there was no bow and drilled a centre hole. Disassembled the front and moved the fold over behing the front fold to stop it flexing durring drilling then match drilled all the other hinge holes to #40
