Drilled out all holes to #30 and debuured all holes.
Dimpled all holes in vertical stabiliser and chamfered the holes in the fibreglass tip.
Added resin and microballons to end of tip on inside and leading edge for additional strength, trailing edge needs about 5mm trimmed off to line up with edge of rudder.
Home building gods looked down on me tonight and threw a spanner in the works. Lesson number 1 is read the plans numerous times and double check. When I matched the rudder to the vertical fin I noticed that the hinge was installed upside down - bugger. Ok simple fix really, drill out 44 rivets, buy a new hinge ($40 freight) match drill and make it all good - do that later.....
