Short Description:  Various

Lots of work, not much apparent. It seems that it will never end !

I decided to try running the trim cable and see if it would fit accordingly. I had a concern because inside the cockpit I had pushed forward the button for aesthetic reasons and also space concern because of the fuel pump. If you recall, I have made the interior more like an RV7 and of course a lot of it was "make it fit" style.

After trying my cable my fear materialised. It was sort of too short for the cable thread to reach the proposed location of the anchor nut which is supposed to be riveted to the cover just before where there is the opening. With a long enough clevis there is no issue but the cable must be locked in place. Finally after much thinking, I decided to use 7/16-20 stainless steel nuts with an SS lock start style washer that will lock the cable where it enters the trim tab. There is space and there is also all the thread of the cable right there. But it gave me a headache .

I then drilled the last hole through the VS rear spar at the bottom. I almost forgot it !

The second thing I did was to rework the position of the eyebolt for the rudder which I did not like the way it was. That took me at least 2-3 hours of trials & errors before finding the proper position of those hinge points.

Last, I made the 2 rudder stoppers as per the plan and ensured the rudder would swing 35 degrees each way.

Where you see the thread on the cable is the entrance of the trim tab on the elevator
