Welcome to my 2014,Cub Crafters,Carbon Cub EX builders log from Brisbane,Australia. A truly exciting kit superbly developed, manufactured and supplied by the Cub Crafters company out of Yakima,Washington,USA. This kit will bring the personal tally of kit builds to six after three Van Grunsven RV6's and two Rans Couriers, an S7 and a S-7S,that of which I currently own and fly. Owning a Cub has always been a dream of mine, now a reality and I don't expect the Carbon Cub to disappoint with its 180 horse power ECI Stroker engine,light weight airframe, coupled with modern construction techniques and materials developed by the Cub Crafter folk in Yakima, its sure to be at the pinnacle of my homebuilding experiences to date. The previously built Courier S-7S(which also appears here on the My Kitlog builder profiles)has won back to back, both "Con Course de Elegance" and "Best Fabric" class awards two years running and I one day envisage the Carbon Cub to follow suite as I've always strived to go that extra mile in building excellence and personal achievement As you follow my project you'll notice the Carbon Cub has been well optioned out from the 26" Alaskan bush wheels coupled with AOSS suspension system to long range fuel,extended baggage and 2014 electronic instrumentation, I think she'll be quite an eye catcher and stella performer on completion. I trust you'll enjoy following my builders log during the construction as much as I'm enjoying the hands on and look forward to answering any questions you may have through out the build on the Carbon Cub EX....enjoy the journey.
