To prepare the fitting for the press I lined up the center line of the fitting with the center of the jig and taped it into position. Then I taped a .032 piece of aluminum on top of that to form the proper width of 9/16" using a 1/2" steel bar. Then I put the jig in the wood splitter, I mean hydraulic press, then formed the part. It worked pretty well! I made two then drilled the holes.
