Fuel flow testing. Pump on; fuel line disconnected at servo, flow into calibrated fuel jugs. Fuel caps on and locked.

Level attitude:
L tank: 2 gal in 3:08 min = 38.3 gph
R tank: 2 gal in 3:04 min = 39.1 gph

3 point attitude (11 deg nose up)
L tank: 2 gal in 3:10 min = 37.9 gph
R tank: 2 gal in 3:12 min = 37.5 gph

Per Lycoming doc 60297-36, IO-360 Operators Manual, max FF at 180 HP / 2700 RPM = 16.4 gph.

Fuel flow margin: level = 38.3/16.4 = 235%
Fuel flow margin: 3 point = 37.6/16.4 = 229%

Fuel flow test successful! Pulled the 70 micron filter from in front of the pump and inspected for crud. Very small amounts of aluminum dust were seen with a magnifiying glass .. cleaned, safetied and reinstalled.

Checked the filer used between the fuel servo line and he jugs .. no contamination could be detected.
