Working on the inspection hole covers. |
|
|
After lunch, I began the process of getting an inspection hole backing ring into place. I got a visit from Sela who was outside, playing in the snow for recess. Give that girl some cleco plyers and get her to work! First, I measured where the inspection cover would be by placing it on the ring and marking where the edges would be. I then clamped the backing ring into place and drilled it to the wing skin making sure the inspection hole cover would be centered. Then I put the cover in place and drilled it to the inspection hole backing ring. I took the whole assembly out and went to dimple the holes but realized that I didn't have the correct size dimple for a #6 screw. So I had to order that from Aircraft Tool Supply and wait on that. I still have plenty to do so that won't slow me down. |
