Worked on the inspection cover jigs. |

|
Well I got back on the horse today. I began building the wing inspection hole cover jigs. I am using the Glen Patterson/Wayne Massey idea of using a jig made of MDF to router all of the backing rings, plate covers and holes in the skins. This will make them all uniform and pretty. :-) Wayne did a great job of documenting it on his Kitlog site at www.mykitlog.com/wlmassey I began by cuting out the parts that will make the backing rings; 1" wide by 4.5" (2) and 6.5" (2). I then glued them in a square on a piece of MDF that will become the surface that the aluminum is attached to for routing. I then cut out a piece that is 5" square and glued that to a piece of MDF; this will become the cover plates. |
