Today I began attaching nose ribs. I am using the string method to locate the nose ribs and it's working quite well. A string is fed through the jig hole of the tip rib and centered in place with a piece of wood shim. Then the string is pulled tight the length of the wing and is attached to a hook that is in a 2x4 clamped to the angle iron. The ribs are then centered with the string in the center of the hole and the rib is clamped and drilled. |
