Began installing the center ribs |

|
Today I finished installing the Flap drive assemblies in the left wing. The next step is to ensure that there is no twist in the wing. This is done by taping a 1 3/8" block of wood to a 4' level and placing it on the spars; first checking the root end and then checking the tip end. The root end was a perfect 90deg because I had been diligent when aligning the attach holes. Moving out to the tip, I adjusted the rear spar to match the 90 degrees...notice the look of SHEER PRECISION while moving the spar to 90.0degrees!!! I then began to install and drill the center ribs to the spars. A piece of 0.032" aluminum is clamped into place to simulate the skin. This allows for proper alignement of the rib top to bottom. |
