There are metal fairings that screw into the longeron. There are nine rivets that need to be tapped for screws. Of course when I was assemblying the tail section the plans said to rivet those locations and I did. Now I needed to drill them out and get ready to tap them. The rivet removal went fine, no enlarged holes. I needed to trim the metal fairings slightly to get them to fit, but that went pretty fast. The image shows them clecoed in place, I plan on tapping them tomorrow. As I went out the door I fixed the grommet that went in the tail section for the aft lights. One more set of chores completed.
