Left Elevator - 3 hours Today I back riveted the stiffeners into the left elevator. This is how I held the skin open to get in there to rivet since I was flying solo tonight. I saw this on someone else's build site, can't remember who... I finished filing down some of the counterweight so it would fit better, then drilled the two holes in it. Again, this went flawlessly this time, and I was solo, unlike last time. I think I saw Mike Nipp do his this way. I bent the trailing edge in Les Dial's brake, then attached it to the skeleton. I don't know what the deal is, but my control horn just isn't lining up. I'm going to query the forum and Van's for an answer. |
