Whoever packed these boxes is a master at it - everything was so well protected and space was maximized inside these relatively small boxes - it's hard to believe that a horizontal stabilizer, vertical stabilizer, elevator, and rudder are all in there! I was able to inventory my hardware bag, which took about 30 minutes. Oh yeah, one other thing. I decided to unpack and look at my full size plans - each page has a huge smudge on it that appears to have come from the printer or copier. Tomorrow I'm calling Van's to see if I can get another set sent out. Tags: empennage, shop preparation The first thing I did today (and the thing that took the most time) was build ANOTHER table - this one is much smaller and I was able to build it out of the scrap from my work tables. It's the same design, different dimensions (36" x 18" top) and is primarily for my belt sander and bench grinder. After that I finished filing and dressing the edges of the two HS609-PP and then I cleco'd them and the two HS603-PP all together (every 3rd hole). |
