Brief Description:    Sealing the Tanks
Today I began sealing the right fuel tank. I started by masking off the stiffeners so that I wouldn't get sealant everywhere. Then I scuffed all the mating surfaces and cleaned them with MEK. I sloshed the rivets in MEK as well. I then mixed the sealant and went to work spreading it on the tank skin. After that I put the rivets through and taped them with back rivet tape. I put the stiffeners on the rivets and back riveted them to the skin. I filletted the sealant around the stiffeners and added a dollop of sealant to each shop head.

Then I moved on to the fuel tank cap and the fuel tank drain. I essentially followed the same process as for the stiffeners.

After the fuel tank drain and cap were complete I still had some sealant left so I riveted and sealed the fuel return line that I plumbed in to the end rib.
