24th flight Today, my friend (and another Sonex builder) Neil Wischer N391SX was bringing his completed Sonex to the same airport and hangar I use. I had planned to be there to help him unload and assemble his plane, but he called to say he was going to be a little late. So I decided to jump in my plane and fly over to the highway and see if I could find him and the car carrier he was using to transport his plane to the airport. It was really easy to find him so I throttled back and flew parallel to the highway trying to match his speed at about 1500 feet AGL. After a few minutes of matching his speed, I did a few ‘S’ turns over the highway and then proceeded to the airport. A while later, Neil was assembling Sonex #3 at the Manitowoc airport, with help from the Sonex owners #1 and #2. What a fun day.
