14th flight The weather was terrible last weekend so I couldn’t get any flying and today wasn’t all that good either, but I got in an hour and a half even though about all I did was pattern work (takeoffs and landings). The first thing I wanted to check, was how the new heater worked, and it’s still pretty crappy. I can feel that it’s blowing some air into the cabin, unfortunately, this air is maybe 45 degrees. Looks like I’ll have to install something to suck the heat away from the exhaust pipe so when the ram air goes through it gets warmer. The second thing I wanted to check was the new regulator and the charging system. I think it’s working ok now, but I still have to be a little careful how I use power, because when taxiing and doing pattern work with everything on, the engine doesn’t turn enough RPMs most of the time to deliver full voltage. But for normal flights, I think it’ll be fine. Flight time: 1.5 Total time: 18.5 Hours Number of landings: 4 Total landings: 53
