Fourth flight |

Fourth Flight Today was the first flight with the Gascolator removed and the engine ran perfectly. Although I’m still not seeing the RPMs I’d like to see at WOT, the engine really ran well. There were no more sputters nor at any time did I get the feeling that the engine would quit – much better without the gascolator. As for the flight, I did 5 take offs and landings with one go-around. One of the landings I got hit with a cross-wind gust that threw me out of whack and so I ended up bouncing it in so that landing should count for 4. With the EFIS finally properly set up I was able to record all the Engine and flight information data (which is really cool) so I can now see exactly what all the temperatures and RPM numbers really were without having to remember. The software also lets me translate this data to a file that can be viewed on Google maps so I can see exactly where I went – which will be really cool on long trips. Flight time: .9 Total time: 3.4 Number of landings: 5 Total landings:11 |
